All beautiful landscapes begin with a plan. However, not all plans can produce that beautiful landscape you desire.... How so? An excellent
plan incorporates the fundamental principles of art and landscape design. Examining and considering the various textures, foliage and bloom colors of plants, their needs as to soil, water and light, and thereby creating a structure plan that is natural in design and function. This design process requires a great deal of input from the clients and therefore ensures that the finished design meets their expectations and fulfills their needs and desires.
Other benefits of having a landscape plan are many, you know what you have and where it is with regards to the bed layout, enabling you to identify plants when not in bloom or with leaf (a great aid when pruning shrubs in the dormant seasons), identifies areas of the landscape that require special fertilizers or soil amendments as relative to plant species.
Our C.A.D. design plans are plotted (printed) at a size of 36” x 44” and drawn to scale. Usually this is architectural (1/4” = 1’) and they are utilized by our planting crews on all projects. This ensures that you receive the precise layout that you chose and specified.
An example of a master plan may be viewed here...... This plan details an extensive landscape layout with all plantings designated as to placement with the landscape beds and denoted with common name.
